ถือเป็นก้าวใหม่ที่ยิ่งใหญ่สำหรับการศึกษาในระดับอุดมศึกษาของมหาวิทยาลัยในประเทศไทย เมื่องานปฐมนิเทศนักศึกษาของทางสถาบันเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าเจ้าคุณทหารลาดกระบัง หรือ สจล. ใช้เกมชื่อดัง Minecraft ในการเป็นสื่อในการพบปะสำหรับงานนี้โดยเฉพาะ

โดยในวันนี้ทาง Facebook Fan Page ของทาง KMITL ได้โพสต์วิดีโอนำเสนองานปฐมนิเทศนักศึกษาผ่านระบบออนไลน์ด้วยโปรแกรม ZOOM ที่มีนักศึกษาร่วมงานมากกว่า 6,000 คน ซึ่งไฮไลท์ของงานนี้คือการใช้วิดีโอเกมอย่าง Minecraft ในการให้นักศึกษาได้เข้าสู่ระบบเพื่อไปเจอกันในมหาวิทยาลัยจำลอง ทำความรู้จักนักศึกษาคนอื่น ๆ รวมไปถึงอาจารย์ บุคลากร และอื่น ๆ ในมหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้ พร้อมทำความเข้าใจถึงสถานที่ต่าง ๆ ในมหาวิทยาลัยด้วย

นี่ถือได้ว่าเป็นครั้งแรกที่สถาบันระดับอุดมศึกษาของไทยใช้สื่อวิดีโอเกมเป็นตัวกลางในการสร้างความสัมพันธ์และถูกใช้ในการนำเสนองานใหญ่อย่างการปฐมนิเทศด้วย ถือได้ว่าตอนนี้วิดีโอเกมเริ่มที่จะเป็นสื่อที่ถูกยอมรับและถูกนำมาใช้เพื่อประกอบการศึกษาอย่างเป็นรูปเป็นร่างมากขึ้นในอนาคตข้างหน้านี้แล้วนั่นเองครับ
